Would you have confidence in Santa Claus? Jolly Old St. Nicholas is an important part of western society and a lot of us grew up with this particular magical icon. Recently I came upon the concept that Santa represents an exclusive archetype. In Jungian psychology, archetype is identified as an inherited memory represented from the mind with a universal symbol and observed in dreams and myths.
In searching for these symbolic images of this dear old man I discovered that which Santa Claus is short for can also be used to motivate us in creating for your new year. I see him as being a fun-loving guy that can bring us joy, love, excitement and happiness. It’s said he makes all our dreams and wishes becoming reality. Within this season we are packed with expectations, the brilliance of light-filled homes, the fun of being with friends and neighbors to celebrate life, and the joy and gratitude of giving and receiving.
I find that capture the magic reflects several archetypes. He is seen inside the Innocent archetype, helping us to trust, to hope as well as believe that a better day lies ahead. He is clearly driven by faith and trust, bring that hope and giving us that faith and the trust that will likely be well.
The Caregiver archetype, however, is not really from the exercise of power which is the motive, but the drive to bestow care on people who want it: the care, concern and nurturing they lack but deserve. He is about giving to others fulfilling their demands. And that he will not require anything in turn except a cookie, glass of milk or some eggnog. He seems to be an excellent guy, settling on who receives a new Nintendo and who gets t-shirts or shoes. If we are good and if we believe, Santa will make sure we obtain everything we want.
A tremendous facet of Santa’s story may be the magical transformation from his rising up a chimney by the touch of his nose along with his yearly trek around the globe. And on top of that, his flying reindeer without GPS onboard is literally miraculous, indeed. He magically brings gratitude, compassion and want to all, one child’s heart at a time. Santa will be the quintessential Magician archetype helping us transform and transcend current reality to discover new methods for dealing, being and succeeding.
As we are creating our dreams, our visions, and our selections for 2010, let’s all be sure you use our Santa Claus model in conjunction with the Law of Attraction, Creation and Allowing. As you have selected and then more clearly defined your choices in creating your 2010 Journey, utilize this method to shift your beliefs and allowing of that that you simply desire.
Sometimes simply the subtle shift from viewing our images from a grownup element of trying to force, worrying over and wondering how things will alter, for the wide-eyed expectations and faith of kids. An integral element of the ability of Allowing is usually to let go and let God. Releasing our attachment to old beliefs, ideas and teachings allows us to open to the Infinite Likelihood of the Universe.
Then too, we can liken Santa’s management skills to your universal manager. Could you envision him bringing toys to everyone, world-wide, within one night? And all sorts of promptly and within budget? That’s what we’re taught the Universe can do for us, once we turn it onto God/Source. Inside the book “Ask & It Really Is Given” one of the Proven Processes is catchusanta it to the manager. Since we set our goals, it’s like delegating to your Universal Manager. And as we take a step back, and allow the Universe set things in position, we CREATE! Remember, we’re not stopping choices, we’re merely turning over all the details and creating our choices.
I urge you to focus on giving onto your Universal Manager all the stuff you feel you must do during this holiday week. You’ll find it amazing that while we shift our focus of reality, our reality changes. I’ve done this personally when I’ve felt overwhelmed by each of the chores I feel I have to do. Amazingly, some get done, some don’t, although some just don’t seem essential. I’ve had times when my daughters and daughters-in-law would offer to complete a number of the baking. I’ve learned to just accept help and reply with a grateful “Yes!” This procedure is priceless in every facets of life, not simply the holidays. What The Law States of Attraction is unfolding and orchestrating all that needs to occur to bring me my desires, Now.
